The VA7 business sedan, reminiscent of the Sagitar, is the name in China for the extended version of the original Volkswagen Jetta. The VA7 sedan joins the model line of the Jetta brand, created by FAW and Volkswagen for budget cars, which officially entered the Russian market in 2024. So the new product has every chance of reaching us.

The VA7 is already the fourth Jetta model, the appearance of which was a surprise, since it was not included in the brand’s plans until 2026. The length of the sedan reaches 4.77 meters with a wheelbase of 2.7 meters, and under the hood it has a 1.4 TSI petrol engine. The VA7 is richly equipped for its segment: there is a multimedia system with a large screen, a digital instrument panel, a panoramic roof with sunroof, heated front seats, electrically adjustable driver’s seat and adaptive cruise control.

The VA7 joins the smaller VA3 sedan and two crossovers, the VS5 and VS7. All three listed models are officially sold in Russia, so we should take a closer look at the VA7.

Updated Jetta VS5 and VS7 Sales of two crossovers of the Jetta brand will start in Russia: prices of GAC GS3 and Jetta VS5

The launch of the Jetta brand in Russia was accompanied by problems. The brand’s website stopped working literally the next day after the official announcement of its entry into the Russian market, and then Western media accused Volkswagen of continuing to do business in Russia despite sanctions. The German concern denied the accusations, but the site was only relaunched in early September – instead of jetta-motors.ru it became jetta-motor.ru.

Otherwise, there were no significant changes: illustrations, descriptions, price lists are the same, but the FAW representative office – FAW Eastern Europe – is no longer mentioned below.
