Enterprises for the production of cars and auto components were launched by the Avtotor holding. Among them is a plant where compact electric cars Eonyx and Amberauto will be assembled. Factories of car seats, exhaust systems, plastic parts, equipment and accessories, electric motors and control systems also began operating.
New enterprises in the Avtotora automotive cluster appeared with the support of the state: the Industrial Development Fund (IDF) provided 8.2 billion rubles of preferential financing for the implementation of projects. The total investment in projects from 2019 to 2025 is estimated at 30 billion rubles.
“Technological processes in the cluster are built on the basis of highly automated solutions using robotics and elements of artificial intelligence. At the same time, up to 80% of units and components are planned to be produced in the Kaliningrad region,” notes the FRP release received by Motor.
In particular, the traction electric motor plant is capable of producing motors with a power of 7.5-140 kW for various vehicles, its capacity is up to 60 thousand products per year. The equipment and tooling plant is focused on the production of molds for plastics and metals, as well as production equipment and tools.
