The telegram channel “Russian car” claims that the “Automobile Plant St. Petersburg” has stopped collecting XCite cars. In March, the latest copies of the X-Cross 7 and X-Cross 8 (former Chery Tiggo 7 Pro and Chery Tiggo 8) were launched at the site, and new supplies of components are not expected. According to insiders, the supply of non-distributed Xcite is 7-10 thousand pieces.

Xcite cars are sold in the interior of official Lada dealers, initially the X-Cross 7 had logos of the Russian brand, and X-Cross 8 tested with intra-factory numbers of AvtoVAZ. However, the relationship between the brands Lada and Xcite is not officially confirmed.

De Jure “Automobile Plant St. Petersburg” belongs to the state. The site does not get along with Chinese partners: in June 2023, at the former Nissan plant they began to assemble LADA X-Cross 5 (turned by the Bestune T77) together with the FAW concern, but in the end the project was closed. Now the story with Chery is close to completion: it remains only to sell already released crossovers.

What will be uploaded by the “Automobile Plant St. Petersburg” is not officially disclosed. Insiders claim that the imported analogues of the third generation, as well as Lada ISKRA, will be written on the site. AvtoVAZ refutes both facts and insists that in the current state of the market, their own production capacities in Togliatti, Izhevsk and Argun are enough for them.
