At the facilities of the Nizhny Novgorod Trucks plant, production of a new version of the Valdai 45 long-haul tractor, the Valdai 45 Pro, began. First of all, the new product is distinguished by increased engine power (490 instead of 470 hp), as well as a reduced final drive gear ratio of the drive axle – 2.714 versus 2.846.
The list of improvements also includes an increased wheelbase, a widened track, all-LED optics and more capacious fuel tanks with a total capacity of 1040 liters.
In the cabin, which differs in the design of the radiator grille, virtual instruments, an improved media complex, an all-round viewing system and a smartphone connection function have appeared.
The driver assistant complex now includes automatic braking and driver condition monitoring systems, as well as an assistant when starting on hills.
The new version will be made using the full cycle method. Thanks to this, the car receives factory insulation, improved sound insulation and enhanced anti-corrosion treatment.
