The first buyer of Niva Sport was the mayor of Togliatti Ilya Sukhikh: he purchased the car instead of Niva Travel, and in the official’s biography this is the fifth Lada. Tomorrow Ilya Sukhikh promised to test the SUV “in real conditions”.

It is curious that Ilya Sukhikh received the Niva Sport in the dark green Nessie color, although there are three shades on the official website of AvtoVAZ for the novelty: black, white and silver. Probably, the palette will soon be expanded: in the rally on the occasion of the birthday of Niva, yellow-orange and carrot-orange SUVs on the intra-factory numbers of AvtoVAZ lit up.

The usual Lada Niva Legend with Zhigulevsky 1.7 (83 hp, 129 Nm) – 9.9 liters per 100 kilometers. The equipped mass also increased slightly: only 15 kilograms (up to 1300 kg).

So far, Lada Niva Sport is available in fixed configuration for 1,699,000 rubles. However, at the end of the year, a more powerful and expensive SUV will appear with a 144-horsepower engine of 1.8 liters. They plan to put the top motor on the special version of the Silk Road.
