Jawa motorcycles have been certified in Russia

Motorcycles whose manufacturer is a Czech company and whose assembly plant is located in India are approved for Vehicle Type Approval (VTA). This certification document allows you to begin mass deliveries and official sales.

According to OTTS, four modifications of the motorcycle are certified in Russia, including 300 CL, Forty Two, 350 CL and 42 FJ. In the 300 version, the motorcycle is equipped with a four-stroke engine with a displacement of 295 cc. cm and power 23 hp. Another engine has a volume of 334 cubic meters and a power of 29-30 hp.

The design includes a telescopic fork with hydraulic shock absorbers and a rear pendulum suspension. The motorcycles are equipped with a six-speed gearbox and a chain final drive.

The Czech motorcycle brand Jawa was founded in 1929 and quickly became a symbol of simple and reliable motorcycles throughout Europe. The heyday came in the 1950s–70s, when Javas with a characteristic two-stroke sound and a side trailer were delivered to dozens of countries, including the USSR.

In the 1990s, the plant went bankrupt. In 2018, production was revived in India. Under the name Jawa Moto, motorcycles are produced with modern 4-stroke engines.

Earlier it became known how car production in Russia has decreased.
