Jetour denies assembly in Russia

The Chinese automaker denied recent reports that he was already carrying out local assembly of his models in Russia. Representatives of the company officially stated that at the moment only negotiations are underway on potential assembly of cars with the Kaliningrad enterprise Avtotor. Official agreements have not yet been reached.

During the recent discussions that arose after the statements of one of the official dealers of the brand, it became known that the “Autotor” was already being assembled by Dashing crossovers, and in the future the release of the X70 Plus and T2 models will be established.

However, representatives of Jetour reported that while the process of negotiations with the enterprise is underway, and any agreement on local assembly will be announced later. “We are looking for opportunities for cooperation. In the case of any agreements, they will be announced additionally, ”said representatives of Dzhetur Motor Rus LLC.

Earlier, Jetour registered Votour-motor.ru and Votour-auto.ru domains, which indicates the possible use of the Votour brand for cars in Russia.
