The brand, part of Chery, will present a new product on January 22 – a hybrid SUV of a higher class than existing models. It will mark the beginning of a line of more expensive Jetours, tentatively named Zhongheng, writes Car News China. They will compete with the Tank (Great Wall), but the ultimate goal is to reach the level of Jeep and Land Rover.
The first-born of the “expensive” Jetour line will compete with the Tank 700. Probably, it is shown in the only teaser: the car will receive vertical lights, a small rear window and a pronounced shoulder line.
At the same time, Chery has registered three trademarks with the Chinese State Intellectual Property Office – Jetour G900, Jetour G700 and Jetour F700. Perhaps these are the names of future SUVs.

Tank sells both hybrids and pure ICE vehicles, but the new Jetour line-up appears to be limited to petrol-electric models. Luxeed, a premium brand launched by Chery and Huawei, will help with the development. There are no other details about the “technique” yet, but they should be revealed next week.
A new top-end version of the T2 crossover called Discovery will soon appear in Russia. It will feature an expanded list of equipment and a combination of a two-liter engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
