KamAZ trucks have learned to understand voice commands

A voice assistant, developed in partnership with the Tomsk company Enbisis, has appeared in the on-board system of KamAZ generation K5. It will allow you to control some car functions using voice commands – change climate system settings, answer calls, switch tracks in the player, and so on. The first batch of K5 with an assistant has already been released, but it will not only go to the latest KamAZ trucks.

Drivers will be able to use their voice to adjust the direction of airflow, change the temperature of the heating and air conditioning, and also request parameters, for example, to clarify the load on the bridge.

The assistant will also be able to launch applications, make and answer calls, turn on music and radio. In addition, you can play cities with him.

The production of K5 trucks with a voice assistant started this year. However, it will not become a privilege exclusively for the newest KamAZ vehicles: the functionality will be available to vehicles produced no earlier than the second quarter of 2023. The assistant will be added during an over-the-air software update of the on-board information system.

In December, new off-road tractors went into production. The production of KamAZ-65955 began: a tractor with a 6×6 wheel arrangement and a K5 cab. In 2025, the auto giant plans to produce 360 ​​such trucks costing from 10.9 million rubles.
