KGM spoke about equipping the Rexton SUV for Russia

The flagship of the KGM (KG Mobility) brand will soon go on sale – the Rexton frame SUV, previously produced [под маркой SsangYong](https://motor.ru/news/ssangyong-24-03-2023.htm). Russians will be offered it with a two-liter gasoline engine, Russified multimedia and a five-year warranty. After-sales support will be provided by Rex Motors, which organizes supplies of KGM cars from South Korea.

Under the hood of the Rexton is a longitudinally mounted two-liter engine producing 225 horsepower (350 Nm of torque). It’s mated to the old Aisin six-speed automatic. There will be no “diesel” in the Russian range. Drive – plug-in all-wheel drive with reduction gear.

The Rexton has an independent suspension with double wishbones at the front and a five-link at the rear. Wheel sizes are 18 or 20 inches.

The interior was seriously modernized during the 2023 update: a 12.3-inch multimedia system screen now rises on the front panel. Adjacent to it is a digital “tidy” of the same diagonal.

There is a heated steering wheel and seats, atmospheric lighting and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The equipment also includes all-round cameras and various assistants – from a hill start assistant to a rear cross-traffic warning system.

The trunk can accommodate an impressive 1051 liters of cargo, and with the backrests of the second row seats folded down – up to 1977.

The SUV will be sold in Dream and Icon trim levels, the cost of which is unknown. As well as the sales start date: Rexton is promised to be launched on the market in early 2025, but there are no more precise dates yet.
