Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut set a new speed record at a distance of 800 meters

The Swedish hyperkar reached 359.83 kilometers per hour, having broken the previous achievement of the Hennessey Venom F5 model. Despite the impressive result, the race was carried out without the participation of independent observers, and therefore the official recognition of the record is still impossible. The car has previously demonstrated outstanding dynamics and remains one of the most technological serial models in the world.

Koenigsegg again surprised the world of motorsport, demonstrating the capabilities of the Jesko Absolut hypercar. According to the basis of the founder of the brand Christian von Kenigsegga, the car set a record at a distance of half a mile, which is about 800 meters. By the time of the finish, Jesko Absolut developed a speed of 359.83 kilometers per hour, making it the fastest serial car on this segment.

The previous record holder in this discipline was the American hypercar Hennessey Venom F5, showing a result of 357.11 kilometers per hour. Jesko Absolut surpassed it 2.72 kilometers per hour. At the same time, Carbuzz clarifies: the race was carried out in only one direction, and the data on the record was not confirmed by independent experts. Nevertheless, Jesko Absolut has already become famous earlier – in 2023 it became the fastest car in acceleration of up to 400 kilometers per hour with a complete stop, performing the exercise in 27.83 seconds.

Earlier, the American race carrier Brittani Force also went down in the history of motorsport, setting a new speed record. As part of the Top Fuel competition series, she reached impressive 550 kilometers per hour, playing for the John Force Racing team. This result has become a new guideline in its class. Force also belongs to the previous record, set in 2022, which until recently nobody managed to surpass.
