According to the analytical agency Avtostat Info, the most popular car on the Russian secondary market in 2024 was the Lada Granta (model 2190). It showed significant growth in sales compared to the previous year and strengthened the position of the domestic brand in the used car segment.
During 2024, 150 thousand copies of Lada Granta were re-registered, which is 12 percent higher than in 2023, when 133.8 thousand cars of this model were sold. In addition to Granta, the top five most popular models on the secondary market included two more representatives of the Lada brand: model 2107 with a result of 144 thousand cars (+4%) and model 2114, whose sales amounted to 125 thousand units (-6%).

In the segment of foreign cars, Kia Rio became the leader, showing an increase in re-registrations by 6% – from 136,757 to 145,155 units. This result allowed the Korean model to take second place in the overall ranking of the most popular used cars in Russia.
Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade reported that sales of new cars in Russia in 2024 increased by 40 percent, reaching 1,836,029 units. At the same time, domestic car production increased by 28 percent, amounting to 829,867 units for the year.
