Lawyer Voropaev: the driver is not obliged to carry a first aid kit in the car

Since 2023, motorists have been allowed not to store a first aid kit in the glove compartment, auto lawyer Lev Voropaev told Gazeta.Ru.

“In 2023, in September, changes were made to the appendix to the traffic rules regarding the list of faults and conditions under which the operation of vehicles is prohibited. And there the clause was excluded that the driver must have a first aid kit with him (that is, in the car), ”said the lawyer.

According to the lawyer, current Russian legislation does not punish drivers for not having a first aid kit in the car or for its expiration date. There is simply no such violation in the Code of Administrative Offences, and there is no fine for it.
