Lexus left the British without a ls sedan

The Japanese brand decided to curtail sales of the model, which was presented in the UK for 35 years. The thing is that LS, more than a third of a century ago, which became a debut model of Lexus in the British market, turned out to be nobody. For the whole last year, local dealers managed to sell only three such cars, and since 2020, that is, for more than four years-less than four dozen copies.

For several years, LS remained the least demanded by the Lexus model in the UK, and sales continued to decline. As a result, nobody was needed at all – last year he spread in the amount of all three copies. The publication Autocar.uk.com drew attention to the fact that on the official British website Lexus the LS sedan was moved from the New Cars and Previous Models tab. This is accompanied by a note that the production of LS for the UK has been stopped, and for an additional information about the availability of used cars, you should contact the nearest dealership.

Before Lexus LS disappeared from the sale, it cost from 101 thousand to 128 thousand pounds (125.4-158.9 thousand dollars), depending on the configuration. There was only one modification-hybrid LS500H-with a benzoelectric installation consisting of a 3.5-liter V6 and two electric motors. Full -wheel drive was offered for a surcharge. LS competed in the UK with Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 series and Audi A8.

With the departure of LS, the only sedan in the local model line Lexus remains ES. In addition to him, the British crossovers LBX, UX, NX, RZ and RX, as well as the LM minivan, are still available.
