Until recently, the brand produced four hybrids (L6, L7, L8 and L9), as well as the MEGA electric minivan. Soon they will join the first electriccross i8, which was declassified in official photographs. LI Auto intended to present a new model on February 27, but the premiere had to be postponed due to Xiaomi, which on the same day appointed the SU7 Ultra debut. As a result, the i8 was opened two days ahead of schedule.
It was assumed that I8 in terms of design will be similar to the MeGA electric minivan, but the latter did not live up to LI Auto expectations, so that the appearance of the crossover was adjusted. Of the previous features, the i8 remained a LED strip at the very base of the windshield (like MEGA), and the electric car was also quite short by the standards of ordinary crossovers of the hood. But behind the i8 more resembles the “senior” L9.

The interior, in turn, is the same as the rest of the brand’s models: the dashboard in its usual form is absent (instead of a projection display), but there are two 15.3-inch monitors and a steering wheel with a narrow sensory screen.

Information about the power plant LI is kept secret. According to unofficial data, it will include two electric motors – one in front and behind, so the drive of the i8 will be complete. They see the novelty and battery production of CATL with an 800-volt electrician with fast charging technology.
Serial production of LI i8 began on February 18, and sales of models in China will start later this year. In the future, other models will include the “green” I line of the brand-these will be crossovers with indexes I6 and i7.
Li Auto cars are supplied to Russia by parallel imports, and we have the whole line available in China, including Mega minivan. Over the past year, 181 thousand new cars got into the country with “gray” ways, and the share of LI Auto in this volume is 13.2 percent.
