Listed are 14 electric vehicles that will be removed from sale in 2026

The Motor1.com portal has published a list of electric vehicles that will not survive until 2027. More than 15 models are no longer produced or will disappear in the near future due to falling demand, the cancellation of tax incentives and a change in the strategy of automakers.

The Acura RSX was canceled before production began, although the model was supposed to hit the market this year.

BMW is discontinuing the i4 and iX in the US, with the former replaced by the new i3 and the latter replaced by the iX3.

Production of the Chevrolet Bolt will last at least until the end of 2026, after which it will be replaced by the Buick Envision.

The Honda 0 Series in sedan and crossover body styles will not enter the market – the company said that the launch would lead to “further losses in the long term.”

Hyundai is ending production of the standard version of the Ioniq 6, with sales down 15% in 2025, especially after the tax credit was eliminated.

The release of the Kia EV6 GT has been postponed indefinitely due to “changes in market conditions” – tariffs, weak demand and the removal of incentives, and the Niro EV has been completely discontinued: dealers are now selling off the remaining cars.

Lamborghini has canceled the launch of its first electric car, the Lanzador, because demand for it, according to the CEO, is “close to zero” and investment in technology would be “financially irresponsible.”

The joint project of Honda and Sony – Afeela electric cars in sedan and crossover bodies – ended its journey without being born.

Tesla will complete production of Model S and Model X by 2027, freeing up capacity for humanoid robots – there will be no replacement, only Model 3 and Model Y will remain on the assembly line.

Volkswagen will discontinue the ID.4 model in the US this year, with factory capacity given over to the more successful petrol Atlas.

The Volvo EX30 only lasted one year on the American market (2025 model year) – the cheapest and fastest Volvo in history went down in history due to “changing market conditions.”
