Luxurious campper Airstream 1990 put up for auction after 20 years of downtime

A car with a mileage of only 27,400 kilometers was stored in a barn in a mothballed state and still has not received a single bet. Despite age, it has been preserved almost in perfect form: leather sofas, a kitchen with an oven and a full -fledged bathroom – everything remained like new. Under the hood – the eight -cylinder Chevrolet engine, in the cabin – plush, wood and air conditioners.

An unusual lot appeared at the Bonhams auction in the UK – Airstream Model 350le, released in 1990. During his life, the car drove only 27.4 thousand kilometers and spent most of his time in the barn, where it was put more than 20 years ago. The motorchoe is characterized by luxurious performance: it has leather chairs and sofas, oak furniture, mirror panels, as well as a kitchen with a stove, oven and a double shell.

The camper is built on the basis of a bus 10.7 meters long and equipped with an eight -cylinder Chevrolet engine with a volume of 7.4 liters operating paired with an automatic gearbox GM Hydramatic 400. All three axes are equipped with a pneumatic suspension that provides a high level of comfort. There is also a bathroom with a shower, propane heating, an audio system, televisions and two air conditioners. The only non -working node is the level of fuel level, in addition, batteries are required.

In February, another interesting lot appeared at the Bring a Trailer auction – the campper based on the Alfa Romeo van. The machine previously used in Sicily and in Moden was converted into a residential car with a superstructure and a spare wheel on the roof. The current rate at the time of the publication was 7.5 thousand euros, which is comparable to the price of the new Lada Granta.
