Manufacturer of heavy trucks MAZ-MAN will create a catamaran boat

Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee of the Republic of Belarus Pyotr Parkhomchik said that the regional authorities plan to develop river tourism. According to the official, JV MAZ-MAN CJSC will take part in the creation of the catamaran boat.

CJSC “MAZ-MAN” will be engaged in engineering, development, and direct production – the Pinsk Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant is the only enterprise that carries out the full cycle of shipbuilding.

In 1997, the Belarusian MAZ and the German MAN decided to create a joint production. The first MAZ-MAN vehicles were a two-axle MAZ chassis, but equipped with a MAN engine, cab and other components.

Now MAZ-MAN is an independent brand that produces non-standard trucks for specialized tasks. And designing catamarans will become a new area of activity.
