Mercedes-Benz announced the largest program in its history to launch new products. Until 2027, dozens of new products will be presented, including with internal combustion engines. Some markets will remain even twelve -cylinder units, so that the XEV (electric cars and charged hybrids) will account for no more than 30% of sales in two years.

So far, everything looks not as a revision of the strategy, but an attempt to take a break. The Germans abandoned the idea to make a different design for fuel machines and electric ones – therefore, stylistics will be unified. They will start with the new CLA, which will debut this year in two versions. Then we will find a significant modernization of the S-Class and a series of launches from Mercedes-AMG.

The electrical version will appear in GLC, C-Class and E-Class, and in each they will find the use of technologies created as part of work on the Vision EQXX prototype. For models, several types of batteries will be offered: LFP, NMC, with round cells and hybrid LMO/NMC. The latter in specific energy intensity approach the NMC, but are cheaper.

As for the fuel engines, they will all be electrified to one degree or another. The gamma will include four- and eight-cylinder units corresponding to the future norms of Euro-7. Also, the plans: the launch of the new Steer-By-Wire system, the technological stack on the computing platform with liquid cooling, the virtual assistant based on behavioral AI and the update of the corporate autopilot.

Finally, the company will continue to reduce constant costs – for three years they should decrease by another 10%. In parallel, the staff of managers will be reduced and the role of digitalization and generative artificial intelligence will increase.
