Mercedes-Benz will refuse 1.5-liter turbo engines on C-Class

The transition to another motor in China is not logical, because now the basic M 254 with a working volume of 1496 cubic centimeters is laid in tax benefits. Replacing with a “turbocharger” with a working volume of 1991 a cubic centimeter means a transition to another category, and the benefits of power or dynamics are not visible. Perhaps we are talking about the “transition” period, and Mercedes-Benz decided to go on a “joint” 1.5-liter turbo engine with Geely in the future.

So far, the Chinese unit with the Geely Aurobay company has been announced only in the “transverse” performance for the new Mercedes-Benz Cla, so the C-class will require improvements.
