Moscow Raceway will host a record 12-hour race for Russian motorsport

It will take place on May 23, 2026 and will take the entire daylight hours: the start is scheduled for 11 a.m. For the first time in Russian history, a stage of the national endurance championship will last 12 hours in a row. Previously, the stages of the Russian Endurance Championship were held in a six-hour format.

The finish of the competition is scheduled for 23:00 and will take place in the dark, under the light of floodlights. The endurance race will be held as the first stage of the SMP RSKG Endurance series. It will be attended by ex-Formula 1 driver Vitaly Petrov, who will return behind the wheel of the domestic sports prototype BR03. He will be joined by Alexander Smolyar (known for his performances in the same youth series with Oscar Piastri) and Irina Sidorkova, who will lead an all-female crew into battle together with Victoria Blokhina.

BR03 is the main trump card of the Russian team. The cars built by BR Engineering in Moscow have already brought their pilots victories over European supercars in international marathons. As part of the competition on May 23, at least two Lamborghini Huracan GT3s and several Mercedes-AMG GT3s will take the starting line. The length of the circuit is almost 4 km.

The organizers rely on entertainment: 40 minutes before the start, spectators will be allowed into the pitlane to get acquainted with the equipment. For those who want to touch the world of prototypes, there will be a sim racing zone with BR03 simulators and an exact copy of the track. In the new season, marathon races will also be held in St. Petersburg and Grozny, but only the May marathon will last a full 12 hours.
