Motor: assembly of updated Changan Uni-V liftbacks will be launched in Kaliningrad

The third generation restyled car will officially enter the Russian market in the second half of 2026. As a representative of Changan told Motor magazine at the Beijing Motor Show, production of the model will be established at the Avtotor plant – this will allow the production of the car to be localized in Russia.

The restyled Changan Uni-V received a number of noticeable external changes. The main difference is the front: instead of the traditional radiator grille, a closed panel is installed, which gives the car a resemblance to electric cars.

Other changes include repositioning the door handles flush with the body, an illuminated logo and a more aggressive bumper at the rear, and a drag coefficient lowered to 0.27 Cd.

The dimensions of the car remained virtually unchanged: length – 4680 mm (according to other sources – 4740 mm), width – 1838 mm, height – 1430 mm with a wheelbase of 2750 mm.

More serious changes have taken place in the interior: the center console has been completely redesigned – instead of a block of three displays, a 14.6-inch “floating” tablet of the multimedia system is installed; in front of the driver there is one 10.25-inch dashboard screen, shifted closer to the steering wheel. The central tunnel and the design of the door cards have also been redesigned.

The main technical innovation for the Russian market is the appearance of a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine in the engine range.

There is no information about when exactly Avtotor will begin production of updated Changan Uni-V cars in the Russian Federation.
