Sales of the “new generation” Changan Uni-V start in Russia

Changan introduces the updated sports liftback Uni-V to the Russian market. The main technical update is the replacement of the previous 1.5-liter turbo engine with a new Blue Core 2.0T. Its power is 235 hp and torque reaches 390 Nm. The engine is paired with an 8-speed Aisin automatic transmission. As a result of the change in the unit base, acceleration to 100 km/h now takes 6.8 seconds.

The head office of the Changan brand calls the 2026 version a “new generation,” and the Russian representative office of the brand modestly calls the car an “updated model.”

The list of changes includes a different front fairing, modified LED optics and recessed door handles, which reduced the aerodynamic drag coefficient.

The interior is completely new. The manufacturer claims a larger diameter steering wheel, expanded contour lighting, a premium audio system and a larger touchscreen media system.

For the Russian market, the model received an expanded package of “warm” options, which includes heating of all seats, steering wheel, windshield and rear windows.

An electric boot lid, a full-size spare tire and a 5-year/150,000 km warranty are standard equipment.
