Hongqi (premium sub-brand of FAW) addresses the P567 frame SUV to those who lack the resource of a regular SUV. The arsenal includes a frame structure, a sequential hybrid (831 hp), and mechanical locking front and rear differentials. The air suspension adapts to any type of surface. The range without refueling is up to 1,350 km due to the large battery and large gas tank. The result was an “all-terrain vehicle” for remote regions.
Hongqi Haval will show its main flagship, the H10, in Beijing. The machine is built on the latest Guiyuan platform (aka GWM One), related to the premium Wey V9X. The main feature is two length versions: 5138 mm (five-seater) and 5299 mm (six-seater, 2+2+2). The wheelbase is the same – 3000 mm, the only difference is in the rear overhang. Width – 2050 mm, height – 1970 mm. At the stern there is a full-size spare wheel and a hinged door. A lidar is installed on the roof: the autonomous driving system will be advanced. Under the hood are only rechargeable Hi4 hybrids. The electric motors are paired with two internal combustion engine options: a 1.5-liter turbo engine (167 hp) or a 2.0-liter (238 hp). The traction battery is LFP with a capacity of 42.8 kWh, the electric range on the CLTC cycle is up to 180 km. The architecture is 800-volt, fast charging is supported. The drive is four-wheel drive, two electric motors. Weight – from 2510 to 2635 kg, depending on the version, maximum speed – 190-200 km/h. Prices and details about the salon will be provided later.
Haval The Jetour brand (Chery group) shows the flagship G700 frame SUV. The CDM-O hybrid installation produces 904 hp, acceleration to 100 km/h is 4.6 seconds. The car is simply huge, with chopped shapes and high ground clearance. The equipment includes an oxygen supply system – for expeditions in the highlands. This is a direct response to the Tank 700 and similar heavyweights.
Motor Chery and Jaguar Land Rover will officially show the concept of the revived Freelander. Only this is no longer Land Rover, but a separate sub-brand of electric vehicles as part of a technology partnership. The prototype is a large electric crossover on the E0X platform, which is engineering related to Chery. The production version will have a six-seater interior, and Huawei will be responsible for all-wheel drive and electronics. No internal combustion engine – just a battery.
Chery Chery’s sub-brand Exeed brought an unexpected body to Beijing: the ES GT station wagon in the shooting brake style. The name refers to the British classics, but the filling is completely modern: a new interior design concept “Celestial Sphere”, futuristic instrumentation and all-electric drive. There are almost no competitors in this segment in China, which makes the premiere one of the most interesting.
Exeed Another new product from Exeed, the flagship crossover Exlantix EX8 is designed to directly compete with the Zeekr 9X and Li L9. The main feature of the cabin is a panoramic screen spanning the entire width of the front panel. You can adjust the borders of the display, changing the visual perception of space. Technical details have not yet been revealed, but the platform includes a sequential hybrid circuit and all-wheel drive.
Exeed Geely is turning last year’s concept into a production car. The Galaxy Cruiser 700 is an angular SUV with round retro headlights, unpainted plastic around the perimeter and the ability to swim across small bodies of water. Speed on water is up to 8.5 km/h. The SEA-R platform, four individual electric motors, a fully controlled chassis and active suspension are arguments for the brand’s customers. The interior features three displays, physical buttons and a large transmission selector.
Geely Zeekr (Geely) will reveal in Beijing all the characteristics of the 8X crossover, for which more than 10 thousand pre-orders have already been collected. The car is built on an 800-volt architecture; the hybrid sequential installation produces up to 1381 horsepower. At the same time, the 8X is slightly more compact than the flagship 9X, but retains its body design and level of finishing. It is a direct competitor to Li Auto and Aito.
Geely Chery continues its expansion in the compact crossover segment: the Omoda C4 compact crossover will officially debut at the Beijing Motor Show, production of which will start on April 26 – right during the exhibition. By the way, we are waiting for this car in Russia. In addition, the cover will be removed from the hybrid Omoda C5 SHS (Super Hybrid System) with a claimed gasoline consumption of 5.3 l/100 km. The machine has a hybrid power plant with a sequential operating circuit without recharging from an outlet.
Omoda Jaecoo, another sub-brand of Chery, has prepared a hybrid version of the Jaecoo 5 crossover for the auto show. The main feature is a parallel circuit that does not require recharging from the mains. Essentially, this is a “self-charging” hybrid, similar to Japanese systems. The car is aimed at those who want to reduce fuel consumption without switching to an electric vehicle.
Jaecoo BMW is adapting even more to Chinese tastes: the new generation iX3 will receive the 50L index with an extended wheelbase. The model is developed exclusively for the Chinese market. In addition to the production car, the Bavarians will show the Speedtop concept, which will proclaim the design language of future BMW electric vehicles. Now Europeans are increasingly making “Chinese versions” from scratch.
BMW Mercedes-Benz has confirmed for Beijing the world premiere of the all-electric version of the C-Class based on 800 V architecture. The restyled S-Class with the new MB.OS operating system using AI elements will also be shown in Beijing. This is an important signal for Mercedes-Benz: in China, premium electric vehicles must be competitive in terms of technology and update speed.
Mercedes-Benz Audi and SAIC will show the flagship electric crossover of the joint sub-brand AUDI – without the classic four rings. The E7X model is built on an 800-volt architecture, the 109 kWh CATL battery provides up to 715 km of reserve. Two engines produce 670 hp. The prototype of this crossover has already beaten electric hypercars Porsche Macan and Xiaomi YU7 on the Asian Mountain Ridge track – a serious claim to status.
Audi Hyundai is also keeping up with the trend of turning model names into new brands by transforming the Ioniq into a separate brand for China. The Koreans will have two concepts at their stand: the Ioniq Venus sports sedan and the futuristic Ioniq Earth crossover with an extravagant design. This is an attempt by the Koreans to reboot in the Chinese market, where local electric cars have already captured the mass and premium segments.
Hyundai The popular Chery Tiggo 7 (aka Tenet T7) in Russia has been updated. The crossover received a large grille with black vertical slats and L-shaped running lights. Dimensions have changed: +30 mm in length, +20 mm in width, −51 mm in height. Inside, there is a new heated steering wheel and a curved 24.6-inch display (two screens of 10.25 and 13.2 inches). Under the hood is a 1.5-liter turbo engine producing 156 hp. and 230 Nm. Prices in China start from 79,900 yuan (~906 thousand rubles).
Chery Another new Chery product is the Tiggo 7L SUV, which in Russia is known as the Omoda C7. For the 2026 model year, the car’s main external change is the grille. The main difference from the regular Tiggo 7 is a five- or seven-seater cabin (2+3+2 layout). Media system based on the Snapdragon 8155 chip with support for HiCar, CarPlay and CarLink. The central 15.6-inch touchscreen can be moved left or right. The front seats are heated, ventilated and massage, and the passenger has a folding footrest. Engines: 1.5T (156 hp) or 1.6T (197 hp), both with 7-speed robot. Drive is front-wheel drive only. Trunk capacity from 478 to 1417 liters. Prices: 85,900 – 106,900 yuan (985 thousand – 1.2 million rubles).
Chery
The largest international auto show of the year starts in Beijing. Chinese brands dominate both in the number of new products and in technical boldness: Chery is reviving the name of the British Freelander under its own brand, Haval will exhibit No. 1 in its SUV line – the H10 crossover. Geely will show the production version of the amphibious SUV, and Jetour and Hongqi are introducing heavy-duty frame hybrids to the market, which will definitely come to the Russian Federation. The Europeans are not lagging behind: Mercedes-Benz will bring an electric C-Class, BMW will bring an extended iX3 for China, and Audi will show a crossover without classic rings for the first time.
