New Lada Iskra sedan: trim levels and prices revealed

Tolyatti blogger and former employee of the Volzhsky Automobile Plant KhaDm shared details about the project of the domestic “state employee”. The insider obtained documents with a full list of Lada Iskra options, recommended retail prices, as well as technical details. The observer noted that there are about two months before the start of production, so AvtoVAZ will not have time to change anything globally.

The basic Lada Iskra with code E0 is unlikely to be widespread and will appear in car showrooms: we are talking about an “advertising” version for tenders and government procurement. Such cars will have 15-inch stampings, bumpers in body color, LED daytime running lights, a fabric interior, two airbags, ABS and ESP systems, two electric windows, electric power steering, central locking, heated mirrors and audio preparation, the price will be 1.2 million rubles.

“Medium” trim levels will include air conditioning, heated front seats and a media system: such a car will cost about 1.3 million rubles. In the initial versions, the Lada Iskra will have a proven 8-valve 1.6 engine (90 horsepower, 143 Nm) and a 5-speed manual transmission. For an additional fee they will offer a combination of a 16-valve 1.6 engine (106 horsepower, 146 Nm) and a 6-speed WLY manual transmission from a Chinese partner. Such sedans will cost from 1.35 million rubles.

The top will offer a combination of a 106-horsepower 1.6 engine with a Chinese WLY variator, climate control, fog lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, rear seat headrests, front side airbags, parking sensors, a Yandex-based media system with a rear view camera and six speakers, heated windshield, heated rear seats and steering wheel, multifunction steering wheel with cruise control and speed limiter, as well as a microlift for the driver’s seat. The price of such a Lada Iskra will be about 1.6 million rubles.

According to blogger KhaDm, all configurations will not appear in showrooms immediately: for about six months, AvtoVAZ will gradually increase the level of localization and automation of production, introduce new versions and options. The assembly line is planned to be launched in March, and the first cars will appear at dealers by the end of spring.
