New VW Tiguan: Now with the old engine 1.4 and another appearance

A year and a half has passed since the premiere of the bestseller, but the model is not offered in all markets. Since spring, Volkswagen Tiguan came to Mexico, but under the usual name they offered a conservative filling and another appearance. There are no modern units yet: only the proven 150-horsepower 1.4 TSI turbo engine in conjunction with a 7-speed “robot” DSG and front-wheel drive.

The Mexican Volkswagen Tiguan literally repeated the Tayron crossover. Compared to the “global” model of the same name, bumpers, optics, radiator grille, front panel and central tunnel changed. The salon is exclusively five -seater. The basic equipment is almost the same as for the German market.

LED headlights, 17-inch wheels, a multimediasist with a 12.9-inch touchscreen and a rear view camera, two-zone climate and cruise control, a digital panel of devices, but wireless charging are not required. You will also have to overpay for heating the front seats, skin decoration and a panoramic hatch. At the top of the R-Line line with a sports body kit, 20-inch discs, ventilation and massage of the front seats, chambers of circular review and a 15-inch touchscreen.

In Russia, a new VW Tiguan 2011 release was put up for sale

Volkswagen Tiguan does not yet have a full -wheel drive and powerful engines for Mexico. Prices vary from 600 to 772 thousand pesos (30-39 thousand dollars). For comparison, the “younger” VW TaOS with the same engine costs from 489 to 596 thousand pesos (24.5-30 thousand dollars). Later, a new crossover will come to the United States, but a more modern technical filling is expected in the most important market.
