Representatives of the Japanese brand published the first photo of the new project. At the same time, experts are keeping the technical details of the electric car secret. A full presentation of the battery-powered Skyline GT-R will take place in January 2025 at the Tokyo Auto Show.

Externally, the electric GT-R is almost identical to a classic sports car. You can distinguish the battery model by its orange brake calipers and a different shape of the front bumper air intakes. Engineers placed the charging port under the factory fuel tank filler flap.

The Japanese company has restored the iconic Nissan GT-R R34 coupe. The cost of the work will surprise you. In Japan you can buy a Nissan Skyline for $50. But there is a nuance. In Japan they sell a sticker on the trunk of a Nissan GT-R for the price of a Geely Monjaro

The donor for the new project was the collectible Skyline GT-R, owned by one of the employees of the Japanese company. According to rumors, the battery-powered sports car will be driven by a power plant from the Ariya Nismo crossover, the output of which is 435 horsepower. Moreover, the electronics will be able to simulate the all-wheel drive operation of the classic GT-R.

At the beginning of December, the old Mazda MX-5 Miata was switched to electric power. As with the GT-R, the battery-powered sports car is virtually indistinguishable from a classic car.
