No driver needed: Tesla has started producing the Cybercab coupe without a steering wheel or pedals

The first copy rolled off the assembly line at the company’s plant in Texas. Serial production of the new product is planned to begin in April 2026. The first city where a robotaxi service based on Cybercab will be launched will be Austin (Texas, USA).

Features of the Tesla Cybercab include a tapered body shape for improved aerodynamics, upward-opening doors (“butterfly wing”), and a glass-free tailgate.

The cabin is designed for only two passengers. All information is displayed on a single central screen on the front panel. For luggage, there is space for two standard-sized suitcases.

Tesla Cybercab is equipped with an all-electric powertrain. The battery capacity is less than 50 kWh, but, according to the manufacturer, this is enough for a range of almost 500 kilometers.

Earlier it was reported that the revived Russo-Balt brand promised to reduce prices.
