Mufasa is a relatively inexpensive crossover, which since 2023 has been produced in China at the Beijing Hyundai joint venture. In the local lineup, the model is positioned just below the platform Tucson. Until recently, Mufasa was exclusively presented on the Chinese market, but recently it officially appeared outside of it – in Kazakhstan.
In Kazakhstan, the new product appeared with the slogan “hero of the urban jungle” – in other words, a crossover designed for the city. It is offered with a two-liter engine producing 160 horsepower and a six-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive only. The model costs 13,790,000-14,190,000 tenge, which in terms of today’s exchange rate is 2.27-2.8 million rubles.
The characteristics of the new generation Hyundai Palisade have been revealed. The Hyundai Mufasa crossover is shown in the image of a macho SUV. In Russia you can buy a Chinese-made Hyundai Mufasa crossover.
It is worth noting that in Russia the Hyundai Mufasa became available for order literally a few months after its entry into the Chinese market. They offered to bring the model through parallel import (it is possible that it was through Kazakhstan) for about 2.5 million rubles. A number of crossovers are available from dealers; they cost closer to three million.
Depending on the configuration, the Mufasa equipment list includes a virtual instrument panel, a 12.4-inch touchscreen media system and a touch-sensitive climate control control unit, and an electromechanical handbrake is included in the list of basic equipment. But there was also something to save on: Mufasa is not equipped with electrically adjustable passenger seats and dual-zone climate control.
