The restrictions were removed only after the newly -made car owner learns to manage the machine on the racing tracks specially approved for this and pass the qualification circle. However, customers expressed dissatisfaction with such measures.

The fact that the most powerful version of the SU7 Ultra from the plant leaves the restrictions was known at the start of the sale – access to full power and maximum speed (350 kilometers per hour instead of 140) was unlocked only after the newly -made owner will drive more than 300 kilometers by car.

Last week, Xiaomi released version 1.7.0 of its software, which introduced even more stringent restrictions: the installation return was cut from 1548 horsepower to 900 forces in normal driving mode, as well as a 60-second lag with the Launch Control function so that the drivers do not break at full speed from the traffic light.

The Xiaomi Auto explained that the restrictions are dictated exclusively by security considerations-in order to control the 1548-horsepower electric car, and the full potential of the machine should be disclosed on the racing track, and not on public roads. Customers, for their part, were indignant that they laid out 529.9 thousand yuan (more than six million rubles), but did not gain access to all the capabilities of the car, which Xiaomi talks about in the advertising campaign.

According to Carnewschina, under the pressure of Xiaomi customers had to remove restrictions and promise that later communication with car owners will be “more transparent”.

From the standard Xiaomi Su7, the Ultra version is characterized by chassis settings, aerodynamics and power plant. It is driven by three electric motors, which in total develop 1548 horsepower and 1770 nm of torque.
