Opel will release the Corsa GSE hatchback with a powerful electric motor

The car will replace the legendary models with classic engines – Opel Corsa OPC and Vauxhall Corsa VXR. The premiere of the new product is expected at the end of 2026.

It is expected that the Corsa GSE will share the powertrain with other “charged” electric vehicles of the Stellantis group (Opel is part of its structure), such as the Abarth 600e, Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce, Peugeot E-208 GTI and Lancia Ypsilon HF. We are talking about an electric motor with a power of 278 hp.

The car will receive a Torsen limited slip differential, stronger brakes and a retuned suspension. The range when using a standard 54 kWh battery will be approximately 322–370 km.

The manufacturer published only one image, which shows the front wheel in camouflage with the inscriptions Corsa and GSE. The photo shows 18-inch alloy wheels and yellow brake calipers. The car will have extended wheel arches, like the Peugeot E-208 GTI, different bumpers and sporty decor inspired by the Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo concept.

Previously, two Jeland crossovers were certified in Russia.
