Porsche revealed the name of the new hypercar

The company published a short video in which it showed the process of creating new items and declassified its name – 963 RSP. The video is entitled The Road to Le Mans Starts Here (“Porsche 963 RSP: the road to Le-man begins here”). According to the media, the word “road” hints at the version adapted for public roads. Porsche promises that 963 RSP will be a “unique car created with special attention to details.” The footage shows masters polishing the carbon fiber panels, gluing emblems, as well as working on suede decoration, atypical for pains – another hint of the road version.

The letters RS in the name, obviously, indicate Rennsport, but with P, not everything is so clear. According to Motor1, it can be sent both by the word Prototype (“prototype”), and just to Porsche.

Porsche showed 963 in 2022. It was equipped with an installation on the basis of a 4.6-liter “Biturbovosmer” from the hybrid Porsche 918 Spyder, developing about 680 horsepower.
