Race Northern Forest 2025: Day Third

The third final day of the BAH on Russia – Northern Forest is completed. Of the 25 crews of the automobile testing to the finish line, only 19 were able to get to the race, and 10 pilots were designed to take Motorli from 13 starting finish. The race turned out to be interesting, and this is a considerable merit of a new specialist.

The final day menu included two sections of 72 and 111 kilometers, familiar to the participants on yesterday. The track is already rolled. Navigation is simple – you can’t turn the tracks cleared in the snow. One of the pilots even joked that “the navigator was sleeping all the way.” Although even the almost complete absence of navigation difficulties and rolled paths presented many surprises. The struggle of the leaders continued on the fifth special fuel, Pavel Andreev managed to take a good pace and bring Boris Gadasin for almost one minute. Anastasia Nifontova finished with the third result.

On the sixth special stages, Anastasia Nifontova showed the best time. Dmitry Cherkesov – the second and only 9 seconds behind, and Dmitry Voronov was noted by the third result. The leader of the race Boris Gadasin was a little unlucky on the final special storage: the brakes refused the G-Force Bars, and the crew flew out of the highway a couple of times.

“The flight management center decided that we were too boring, so we were turned off the brakes and we were not very boring,” Boris Gadasin told the finish line, “they drove and got double pleasure. However, this did not prevent Gadasin from maintaining leadership in the absolute standings following the results of Bach. The second place in the Absolute and the first in the standings of Baggi T3 went to Anastasia Nifontova, who, accompanied by the navigator, Kirill Shubina, was able to stay in the three and showed excellent results.

Dmitry Voronov and Kirill Enikeev drove to the third place of the absolute standings, and also took silver in T3. Alexei Cherkesov fought for the podium like a lion. Stable parishes in the top ten, as well as a constant desire to get into the top 5 undoubtedly did their job-fourth place in the “Absolute” and bronze in their T3 test group. “I am very glad that the organizers added this new specializer,” Evgeny Pavlov shares his impressions of the Northern Forest race – not even that it is new, it just turned out to be a cool track. The weather played into our hands: the track was flooded with water in a thaw, then it froze, and it turned out 70 kilometers of ice. There are millions of turns, and you are constantly traveling with a block. The riding is beautiful, and I envied Alexei today, because piloting in such conditions is just a pleasure. Especially such a cool ralter as Alexey Ignatov.

We had two settings: one-to win in the standings of the raid-sport, the second-to score points in the absolute. In principle, both tasks are completed. Unfortunately, the main competitors dropped out at the very beginning, and thereby lubricated the race for us a little, because when the result needs to be kept, and not to extract, it is always less interesting. Today we rode at a gentle pace to protect the car and control the situation. On this race, due to the specifics of the track itself, there was no chance to fight for the Absolute. This was obvious, since many quick bugges are involved, which in this forest are more advantageous of the NN Gazelle. There is no navigation as such. But in the category of raid-sport, we made a good background for the season, all the more, such a competitor as Andrei Rudskoy, who will be interested in fighting.

Alexander Semenov and Dmitry Okhotnikov also overcame both special stages in a calm mode, while playing the role of guardian angels for the crew Vadim Novikov and Vitaly Pronenko, pulling out fellow countrymen of the UAZ factory team from difficult situations. As a result, the first race of the season was brought by both crews of the GAZ Raid Sports team for the podium: in the piggy bank of the Gold and Silver Raid Sports team.

“A cool, cool race,” Dmitry Okhotnikov shares his impressions, “I think this is a very good start to the new season of the Russian rally-raids of 2025. The pilot washing down, shook the car. The navigator should always be ready. For us, the day has developed specifically. I would call it – the day of the Ministry of Emergencies, since we saved almost the whole day the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, which is represented here in the person of the crew of Novikov and Pronenko. They pulled them out several times. The first time because of them they got into the cork, because because of the hand-to-hand children, it was difficult for them to move: large puddles with ice and impressive steps at the output, so it is very difficult on the rear drive. The second time the guys hung on a parapet. We realized that we definitely won’t be able to catch up with Alexei Ignatov, so we decided to save the UAZs. We drove behind them and controlled fellow countrymen to help them in case. This year I liked that there was a new special -stroke – interesting for the pilot, rudder. Sasha liked it. We will continue to prepare for the next stage of the championship. I think the second place is a great result.

In the standings of serial T2 SUVs there was a battle of two Andreev: Dinburg and Syushentsov, but as a result, the S&A Racing pilot lost about eight and a half minutes to the opponent, and Andrei Dinburg was able to climb the first step of the podium in the category. In the third position of the pilots of the Rus team from Kolomna – Leonid Petrov and Anton Palenev. In the team standings, the first place in S&A Racing, in the second G-FORCE MOTORSPORT, and the GAR of Raid Sport with bronze.

In ATVs in ATVs, the CFMOTO Team pilot Daniil Vlasov won, in the open class – Anrei Kukuts, and in class 450 – a raculus of Shemiuns on KTM 450 Exc F.

The first stage of the Russian Rally-Raids Championship “Russia-Northern Forest” has been completed. The next competition will take place only in April, where athletes are waiting for two tests at once: from April 4 to 6, the Russian Cup will be launched in Elista, and from April 16 to April 19, a traditional sandy will be held in Astrakhan – “Gold of Kagan 2025”. And Astrakhan athletes consider the most complex race of the season. /m
