Renault is ready for the export of crossovers based on Geely Monjaro

The French brand confirmed that very soon the model will appear in the Persian Gulf countries. For export, they will supply Renault Koleos (without a Grand set -top box) of the Korean assembly: crossover teasers have already appeared on regional sites. According to the New Autopost portal, in May 653 cars will be produced for external markets, but gradually production volumes will increase, and sales geography will be expanded.

Renault Koleos/Grand Koleos is a turning over Geely Monjaro. In South Korea, the Chinese-French car became a hit and squeezed analogues from Hyundai/Kia. For six months, buyers found more than 22 thousand cars!

Experts awarded the hybrid version of the Grand Koleos title “Car of the Year in Korea 2025”, and in the total volume of South Korean sales of the Renault, the share of the crossover with Chinese roots reached 83%. Now the new product will have to gain a foothold in other markets: at first the export is scheduled to the Gulf countries, then to Australia, and in the future to South America.

In some Renault Grand Koleos markets, Geely Monjaro will have to meet: how partners will avoid competition while an open question. Perhaps not all versions will be offered under the French brand: now the gamma consists of a front -wheel drive hybrid with a 1.5 turbo engine, as well as gasoline versions with a 2.0 turbocharger with front or all -wheel drive.
