RG: cars will rise in price by 20% from April 1

On this day, changes to the rules for calculating the recycling fee for cars imported from the EAEU countries (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan) come into force. Now the recycling fee will be calculated using a single formula, which effectively closes “gray” schemes with undervaluation through Kyrgyzstan and Belarus.

As Managing Director of Alfa-Leasing Maxim Agadzhanov told Rossiyskaya Gazeta, this will lead to an increase in prices for individual segments by an average of 10-20%. Volkswagen, Kia, Hyundai, Skoda models, which were imported under “gray” schemes and formed an affordable price segment, will rise in price the most. Their stocks are small, and it will no longer be possible to deliver new batches before April 1.

According to him, two main channels for importing cars remain legal. The first is direct import according to the cargo customs declaration (cargo customs declaration) for legal entities, where the recycling fee is calculated using a single formula based on the market value.

The second is import by individuals under a CPO (customs receipt order), for personal use, with the cost calculated, albeit using a single formula, but with a reduced recycling rate if the car’s power is less than 160 hp, Agadzhanov concluded.

Earlier, Russo-Balt spoke about the transmission of the new crossover.
