Russian tire factories have reduced production by 20%

At the end of 2025, Russian factories producing passenger tires reduced production volumes by 20%, to 28.1 million units, Kommersant reports, citing data from CRPT, operator of the Honest Sign labeling system.

At the same time, China became the main importer of tires into Russia, supplying products worth over a billion dollars, as reported by the General Customs Administration of the People’s Republic of China.

According to unconfirmed data, at the moment, “celestial” brands occupy about a third of the Russian tire market, and the total range of brands reaches two hundred items.

According to analysts, cheap Chinese tires are actively displacing products from domestic manufacturers, but the Russian authorities have updated eco-fee tariffs to balance
