Russians are on average ready to pay 1.5 million rubles for the car

This is 35 percent more than a year earlier, writes TASS with reference to the study of Sberbelving. It was attended by eight thousand people from 37 cities of Russia. Most (80 percent) of those who are going to change the car plan to buy a used one. On average, they expect to spend 762 thousand rubles.

Only 12 percent of respondents are ready to buy a new car. The amount they are going to spend is much higher – 2.1 million rubles on average.

As for the brands, 16 percent of Russians look closely at LADA. The second place was divided by Toyota and KIA with eight percent of the votes of each, and the third – Renault and Hyundai with seven percentage.

For most (64 percent) potential buyers, the most important thing in the car is the ratio of price and quality. The engine power was in second place (38 percent), practicality and convenience – in the third (21 percent)

Almost half of the respondents who plan to change the car in the next six months are traveling to the present for 7-10 years. Meanwhile, Russians want to stimulate changing cars more often with the help of a new tax. The Association “Russian Automobile Deilers” (Road) has developed a bill that will introduce an increased transport tax on cars over 15 years old. The inspection will also be mandatory for them twice a year.
