Scania has announced the price of Chinese-assembled Next Era trucks

In the Chinese county of Zhugao, Jiangsu province, a new production complex of Scania opened, in which the Swedish brand invested 2 billion euros. Here, among other things, Next Era trucks will be produced – this is a new brand specially created for the Chinese market.

The cars are equipped with a 13-liter TD13 engine with an output of 500 hp, which is paired with a 14-speed PG14 robotic gearbox. With this combination, the loaded road train turned out to be 12-20% more economical than its competitors, and its fuel consumption was 26 l/100 km.

The cost of Next Era will be 539,000 yuan – that’s 6.2 million rubles (for comparison, the flagship KamAZ-54 901 now costs about 6.6 million rubles). The secret of such a low price of the new product is in the engine, transmission and other components made in China.

The company emphasizes that the new family should seriously compete with the products of “celestial” brands. European engineers took part in the creation of the trucks, taking into account the wishes of local cargo carriers.

In China, a Geely Monjaro can now be bought for 1.4 million rubles. Sales of cars of the new Qingling brand have started in Belarus. Nissan was chosen as the best women’s car of 2026.

Meanwhile, a new Mack Keystone hood truck was introduced in the United States. The new product is equipped with a completely new galvanized steel cabin, which is significantly larger than its predecessor.
