Shacman wants to produce trucks in Russia

Shakman Motors and the Chinese plant of Shaanxi Heavy Duty are preparing a project to localize commercial equipment in the Russian Federation, Izvestia writes with reference to the representative of Shaanxi Van Xyalin. It is reported that the Chinese side is already negotiating with the governors of the Russian regions, but the final decision on where the production will be accommodated has not yet been made.

Van Suilin said that negotiations on the localization of Shacman production in Russia have been underway since last year. What kind of regions the Chinese are considering to place a site for assembling trucks is still unknown.

Shakman Motors also said that she had prepared a plan to eliminate claims from Rosstandart. The company is ready to launch a response campaign in Russia, which will affect both new and already sold trucks.

In February, Rosstandart recalled a certificate of approval of the type of vehicle (OTTS) at the Hacman SX3258 truck family. According to representatives of Rosstandart, the Chinese side could even deceive the regulator, specially preparing a truck for testing, and releasing other samples on the market.
