Subaru WRX sedan received a new STI version

It’s called S210 and will be produced in quantities of 500 pieces. The main feature of the four-door will be the engine boosted from 275 to 300 horsepower, aerodynamics in the style of Subaru racing cars and chassis modifications in the spirit of last year’s WRX S4 STI Sport#.

Subaru never decided to release a full-fledged WRX STI and again offered fans an unknown “verse substitute”. The sedan received the name WRX STI S210 and a 2.4 turbocharged engine boosted to 300 horsepower. The engine’s control unit was recalibrated, the intake system was optimized, and it was also equipped with a low backpressure exhaust line. The transmission is the same as that of the WRX S4 (the global WRX is sold under this name in Japan) – a Subaru Performance Transmission CVT. But on the S210 it has its own unique settings and improved cooling.

Without going into too much detail, the STI S210 is very similar to the STI Sport#. Externally, the WRX STI S210 can be identified by aerodynamic elements borrowed from the Subaru racing cars participating in the ADAC Ravenol 24h Nürburgring daily marathon.
