Supercar Rossa debuts in European endurance races

The racing car, created under the guidance of the famous Russian athlete Roman Rusinov, debuts in European competitions: at the end of May, participation in the stage of the Ultimate Cup in Portugal is planned. At the wheel of Rossa LM GT will be Rusinov himself-an experienced pilot, winner of “24 hours of Le Mans”, winner of the World Endurance Race, and young athlete Vyacheslav Gutat.

The Rossa LM GT sports car was developed under the guidance of Roman Rusinov and is now at the very beginning of the life cycle. Last January, his racing debut took place at the Marathon “24 hours of Dubai”. Now it was decided to run the car in “combat” conditions at European competitions. The debut of a sports car in Europe will take place at the stage of the Ultimate Cup racing series. Competitions in the Portuguese Portiman will be held from May 29 to June 1.

The latest car will be put to the start of the French team Graff Racing. Rossa LM GT will be driven by its creator Roman Rusinov, an experienced racer, two-time winner of “24 hours of Le Mans”, the winner of the European series of Le-Man and the World Cup in Embarhes (WeC) in the LMP2 class, and 21-year-old Vyacheslav Gutat. Despite the young years, Vyacheslav in 2023 already managed to become the vice-champion of the Asian series Le-Man and win the title in the Ultimate Cup series. In total, the crew of the Graff Racing team will consist of three riders.

Here is what Rusinov himself told us: “Already during the debut on the daily marathon in Dubai, Rossa LM GT showed an impressive speed by winning the qualifications. After that, we conducted an extensive test program of the new machine. Now the development of the car enters the final stage. ”

Vyacheslav Gutat had already held tests and was satisfied with the car. “I am impressed by the manageability of Ross and its aerodynamic efficiency,” he commented.

The Ross crew will perform in the Ultimate CUP series in the GT3 class – for Rusinov, the ability to compare your sports car with the technique of this category from authoritative automakers is important for Rusinov. The racer is going to continue performances at the remaining stages of Ultimate Cup. This modification is intended for a gentleman-drivers and is characterized by a higher power, reduced clamping strength and less powerful brakes.

“A sports car for the GT3 class needs to be homolog for four years. This is a complex procedure, after which practically nothing can be changed in the design of the machine. Prior to this, in the context of real races, we would like to compare the dew with other GT3 vehicles in order to be able to make the necessary changes before the start of the homologation procedure, ”the Rusinov situation explained.
