Taxi drivers in Moscow who have not passed certification will be fined 5 thousand rubles

The bill was finally approved by deputies of the Moscow City Duma. Mandatory testing has been introduced in the metropolitan region since the beginning of this spring. The validity of the certification results is two years. Similar practice will soon be introduced by the Moscow Region authorities.

The deputies of the Moscow City Duma made changes to the Code of Administrative Offenses, allowing the fine of taxi drivers for five thousand rubles in the absence of certification. According to the capital’s authorities, such a measure will help improve the quality of carrier services, as well as increase traffic safety on Moscow roads.

Mandatory certification for taxi drivers was introduced in Moscow since March 1, 2025. The procedure for certification is approved by the capital’s depotrans.

The introduction of five thousandth fines for taxi drivers who do not know the street of Moscow became known in mid -May. Then, the near Moscow authorities became interested in the bill.
