Tesla has filed a patent for a new generation of the Roadster

The application was submitted in two versions: a standard text spelling of the name and a graphic logo depicting the silhouette of a sports car.

The event revived interest in the long-announced project, especially after Tesla CEO Elon Musk hinted that new details about the Roadster could be revealed on April 1. The model, first presented to the public back in 2017, has long become one of the most anticipated and discussed cars of the brand. Despite initial promises, its entry into the market was constantly delayed. The last announced plan envisaged the start of production by the end of 2025, however, this deadline, apparently, was not met.

In terms of design, the new Roadster is positioned as a two-door sports car with four seats. Particular attention is paid to panoramic glazing for maximum visibility.

The manufacturer talked about the possibility of equipping the model with ten so-called “rocket engines”, a torque of up to 10 thousand Nm, acceleration to 100 km/h in less than 1 second, a power reserve of up to 1 thousand kilometers and a maximum speed of about 400 km/h. Tesla is expected to present new data about the project in the near future.

Earlier, an expert named five Chinese cars that rust the fastest.
