The assembly of premium Changan Deepal G318 and S07 has started in Kaliningrad

A correspondent for Rossiyskaya Gazeta found out that the Avtotor plant uses the large-knot method. Later they plan to expand localization.

“Deepal G318 is a large hybrid SUV, similar in size to the Toyota Land Cruiser. Details about the Russian specification are unknown. In China, the G318 is equipped with one or two electric motors, power – 252 or 430 hp. respectively. The electric range is up to 190 kilometers, full autonomy is 1,100 km,” the publication says.

The second model, which is assembled in Kaliningrad, is the mid-size hybrid crossover Deepal S07. Its power plant includes an electric motor with a power of 238 hp, which provides a range of up to 285 km. The 1.5-liter gasoline engine in this scheme acts as a generator to recharge the battery.

It is also reported that in Russia sales of premium Changan Deepal may begin at the end of February.

It was previously reported which Chinese cars should not be purchased used.
