In May, it amounted to 3.62 million rubles for a Chinese car and 1.56 million for the domestic, experts of Auto.ru Evaluation found out. The difference with last year is small: four and nine percent, respectively. However, the “gray” foreign cars continue to rise in price. Their average cost amounted to 9.24 million rubles-931 thousand more than in May 2024.
The most noticeable JAC JS6 fell in May. The Chinese crossover became more affordable by 2.3 percent compared to April and was offered an average of 2.72 million rubles. The following are the CHERI TIGGO 7L (2.98 million rubles), Solaris KRX (2.37 million), BAIC X7 (1.88 million) and Chery Tiggo 9 (4.88 million rubles). Each of them has become cheaper by two percent.
As for the most advanced cars, the electricity Voyah Free is the leader here, the average price of which in May was 6.16 million rubles. The GAC GS8 was estimated at 4.67 million, the Hongqi HS5 at 3.68 million. None of them added more than two percent.

The most noticeable cars fell in the Nizhny Novgorod region – by seven percent, up to 2.85 million rubles. The second place went to the Bryansk region (-6.4 percent, 2.46 million), the third to St. Petersburg and the region (-5.5 percent and three million).
Cars in the Saratov region rose in price (7.3 percent, to 3.03 million rubles), Bashkortostan (5.3 percent; 2.11 million) and the Krasnodar Territory (two percent; 3.46 million). In Moscow, the average price of a new car is still the highest in the country-5.27 million rubles. In a month, it decreased by half a percent.
In summer, prices can slightly increase due to the abolition of discounts and shares, the dealers predict. Warehouses of cars are gradually reduced, as they are not replenished as fast as before: imports are reduced due to a fall in sales.
