Autostat provides sales statistics in the LCV (light commercial vehicles) segment for 2024: in total, dealers sold more than 112 thousand such vehicles, which is a quarter (24.4 percent) more than in 2023. At the same time, it is clarified that Autostat has its own segmentation – for example, the agency classifies some pickup truck models as passenger cars, and not LCVs.

Unlike the passenger car segment, in which Chinese brands hold half of the market, domestic brands are in the lead in LCVs. Thus, almost every second new commercial vehicle sold is a GAZ. The Gorky Automobile Plant holds a share of 54 percent, and it finished last year with a result of 60.3 thousand cars.

If we talk about models, the top five looks like this: Gazelle Next (36 thousand units, +11.1 percent), Sollers Atlant (8285 units, +27.3 percent), UAZ 3909 (7947 units, + 17.9 percent), GAZ 3302 (7656 units, 16.3 percent) and Lada Granta VU (6470 units, 68.1 percent).

In total, at the end of 2024, a record number of new passenger cars were sold in Russia over the past five years: 1,571,272 units. This is 48.4 percent more than in 2023.
