The Director General of UAZ surprised the debut of the updated “pickup”

At the conference of the labor collective, Alexei Spirin confirmed that at the end of 2025, the release of deeply modernized families of Patriot and Pikap was planned. The announcement of the next restyling of Patriot did not become a surprise: the event is waiting in November. But the simultaneous development of the Pikapa project surprised: this means that this year all the UAZ lines (except for the SGR) will be globally updated.

We will explain the operational approach to updating the “Pikapa”, because already in 2024 the UAZ lost in this segment of the Russian car market Chinese brands Great Wall and Jac. The Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant will probably unify both all -terrain vehicles, that is, the front mask with fashionable optics and the salons will be the same.

In addition to external updates on the Pikap and Patriot, a turbodiesel and a non-alternative 6-speed “mechanics” of Russian-made instead of the current imported “five-stage” are waiting. First, technical solutions will experience on the rear -wheel drive “pros”, then on the all -wheel drive “pros”: such cars will go into the series until the end of the half -year.

Sollers investments in the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant in the period from 2023 to 2026 will exceed 16 billion rubles. This amount includes a new press line for stamping of the body of pickups and SOLLERS SUVs, as well as updated UAZ models. Also this year, the paint complex was modernized, primarily the line of application of cataphorageous soils.
