The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission decided to establish a zero rate of import customs duty in relation to certain types of internal combustion engines. The document is valid from January 1 to December 31, 2026 inclusive.
Engines under the code 8408 20 990 4 of the EAEU Commodity Classification for Foreign Economic Activity are exempt from paying customs duty, the amount of which was 5%. This number hides diesel or semi-diesel units with a displacement of at least 18.5 liters and a power of at least 500 kW (680 hp).
Such motors, according to the description, are used for trucks, vans, refrigerators and dump trucks. However, they are most often used on quarry equipment – dump trucks, graders and other super-heavy machines.
Earlier it became known that the truck manufacturer Shacman began a recall campaign on the Russian market. As Motor magazine has learned, it involves a recall of 2,116 SX3258 type trucks.
