The first sports car of the new Russian brand Rydin is declassified

The creators of the Rydin project (Raidin is pronounced) shared a video in which they talked about work on the first model – a compartment for participation in ring races and endurance races. It will cost the cars like a gt4 sports car, while in terms of characteristics it will not concede GT3. In the future, under the Rydin brand it is planned to produce a road car and supercar, and it is planned to sell models not only in Russia, but also abroad.

Its creators describe Rydin as “a new Russian brand, the main purpose of which is to create cars that can compete on equal terms with the best world car manufacturers in various classes.” Work on the project began in 2022, after foreign companies stopped supporting Russian racing teams and athletes. At the time, racing foreign cars can still be bought, but they carry them with “gray” schemes and they are much more expensive than until 2022.

Then the authors of the Rydin project decided to create their own racing car, which would cost cheaper than foreign analogues, but at the same time was comparable by characteristics, including dynamic. In the future, the possibility of creating a car for public roads and track versions is considered.

At the initial stage, the components will be purchased abroad, including gearbox and engine (at least the first two copies). The project itself will be Russian, including the design part, body panels, chassis, suspension elements.

The creators of Rydin note that in a year you can potentially assemble three to five cars. Three sportsmen will allow self -sufficiency, and the sale of five copies will make a profit. For these funds, the young brand will develop and expand the model range.
