The hybrid crossover has traveled more than 1,000 km in the Arctic Circle without refueling, enduring extreme cold, ice and poor visibility. This was reported by the Geely press service.
Some of the tests took place at the Swedish test site Colmis Proving Ground, one of the northernmost in Eurasia. Engineers checked the tightness of the cabin and heat retention, the operation of heating and thermal regulation, the stability of the hybrid installation in the cold, as well as the correctness of the assistants and exchange rate stability systems on snow and ice.
Based on the test results, the Geely EX5 EM-i fully confirmed the stated characteristics. Testing in different climatic zones – from the Arctic to deserts and highlands – is the company’s standard practice, allowing cars to be adapted to the conditions of different countries.
For Russia, with its long and harsh winters, these tests are especially important. Geely EX5 EM-i is already available on our market with a full winter package: heated seats in the first and second rows, heated steering wheel, heated windshield and washer nozzles. The model is perfectly prepared for real use in cold weather.
It was previously reported that the Toyota Corolla has risen in price by almost 60%.
